Entries about FDTU

Auditions for spots in the Fall 2010 percussion section will take place on Tuesday, May 25th and Thursday, May 27th, 2010. Auditions are open to any interested student (8th graders too!). These auditions will determine instrumentation and placement for next fall’s percussion section.

Here is the sheet music for Section A of our Accent/Tap exercise. Please download and print your respective parts. There are no accents in the music. F-D-T-U are written in, indicating which stroke type should be played.

Here is a copy of the UMass Drumline’s Full-Down-Tap-Up exercise (pdf). It’s used to build a uniform technique by identifying & combining the 4 stroke-types: Full, Down, Tap, and Up-stroke.
